Royal Arcade restoration

In 2002 the arcade was restored by Lovell Chen, painting the facade in yellow and gold colour scheme, and replacing all interior shopfronts with a design based on one used in the 1890s (rather than the original flat shopfronts). Information from the National Trust's 'Walking Melbourne'.
