The Sandbank is an attractive informal park on the banks of the Latrobe River, dating from the early nineteenth century. The tree is centrally located to the north of the pair of Ulmus x hollandica and south of a pair of Platanus orientalis. This tree is possibly one of the largest examples of the species known in Victoria.
