EARLY BUILDING (SITE) - History
THE 1855 PLAN SHOWS TWO RECTANGULAR BLOCKS ON LOT 6, SECTION VI, TOWNSHIP OF FOOTSCRAY PURCHASED BY M FITZGIBBON. THERE IS A HOUSE SHOWN ON THE COX 1864 MAP BUT OF A DIFFERENT SHAPE; HOWEVER A BUILDING SIMILAR IN SHAPE AND LOCATION TO THAT IN THE 1855 PLAN IS SHOWN ON THE 1877 PLAN. THIS BUILDING SEEMED TO BE STILL THERE IN THE 1895 MMBW PLAN BUT BY 1910, THE BUILDING HAD BEEN REPLACED BY A ROW OF WOODEN TERRACE-STYLE HOUSING.Heritage Inventory Description

The site is currently a dwelling converted to an office. The site has archaeological potential as the house would not have significantly disturbed any remains beneath.
