Statement of Significance
The site is significant because of the long-term use as a pipe-making factory of which a great deal of physical evidence of construction and finished product remains. It provides information regarding the construction of the Geelong Ovoid Sewer Aqueduct and the development of early infrastructure in Geelong.

DREWS ROAD 1, CEMENT PIPE FACTORY - Interpretation of Site
Site is the location of the pipe-making factory associated with the construction of the Ovoid Sewer and Barwon River Aqueduct. Factory was torn down in 1915; cement structures are the remnants of this factory. Railway reserve was used to dry newly moulded pipes.

DREWS ROAD 1, CEMENT PIPE FACTORY - Heritage Inventory Description
Site consists of concrete structures associated with a pipe-making factory built in 1912 to supply cement pipes for the Ovoid Sewer Aqueduct. Located in railway reserve on the Melbourne to Warrnambool line adjacent to Marshalltown line. The Ovoid Sewer Aqueduct over Barwon River is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register as H0895.
Concrete slabs, cement pipes, structures and rubble located at the southern end of the railway reserve.
