Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A timber Bungalow built in 1925. It is locally significant architecturally as a characteristic example of this domestic style, with some subtle curved details and with an elegant gate in its fence. It is historically significant as a representative embodiment of life in Newtown in the 1920s.

Residence - Physical Description 1
VISUAL DESCRIPTION A doublefronted timber Bungalow with a gabled roof The right bay projects as a major gable over the verandah and entrance. The upper gable is timbered over battered shingles, on convex joists and a broad transom This is supported on capped brick piers, rendered over dado height, with a panel coved at comers and three soldier stringcourses oftapestry bricks. There is a slightly bowed similar balustrade with corbels and end pier. This, reflects the shallow bow window at left. Windows have . leadlight upper sashes. The step is also curved. The fence is roughcast with a fine chainlink and curlicue pedestrian gate.
