Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A timber double-storey Californian Bungalow with some interesting characteristics built in 1916. It is architecturally significant locally as representative of this domestic style and historically as the embodiment of family life during the Great War and as evidence that all building work did not stop in this period.

Residence - Physical Description 1
A timber double-storey Californian Bungalow with a dominant gable across. Rooflights are skillion clad with shingles. Chimney is Voyseyan, roughcast with slot panels and plate top. The gable is supported on plain brackets. At front, is a rectangular bay with five double-hung sashes and a skillion roof. All windows have upper lights of leadlight.
Rafters of the skillion roofs are expressed as deep ogee profile. At left is a similar gable across with a roughcast pier and a minor rectangular inglenook. Upper gables are shingles. There are mature trees (Honey Locust? Gleditsia)
