STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
23 Candover Street was built circa 1860 and is a brick house typical of that period. It is of local significance.

Removal of the cast iron verandah decoration for a style more appropriate for the date of the house would greatly enhance its integrity, as would a more appropriate front door and careful removal of paint from the brickwork.

Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
This is a symmetrical building with a central front door and a window each side. It is single storey brick with a hipped roof clad in corrugated iron. The verandah and balustrade are later additions and the brickwork has been painted.
