Statement of Significance
Contribution to landscape of historic garden
Outstanding size
This native conifer from Queensland became very popular in the late 1880s because of its large size, dark green foliage and architectural habit. The species was widely grown in parks, botanic and private gardens around Victoria. This tree dominates the landscape and is by far the best example of the three in the gardens
Located near the Queen Street entrance on the western side.
