Delisted as a result of the Outer Western Metro Site Reassessment Project, Melton & Wyndham, the site was delisted on 11.3.10. No archaeological material remains due to consents issued.
1997 listing citation:Site covers two areas divided by Sayers Rd. On the north side of the road, ceramics were recorded beneath a row of eucalypts along the fenceline. On the opposite side of the road (sth side) are the ruins of the homestead/house site. Two bluestone building foundations, with hand-made bricks. A large brick and cement-lined well. Lintel over door said to have dated from the 1850s. With fires of late 1960s, house was abandoned. Not a safe structure. Cowies knocked walls down about this time. Heritage Inventory Significance: Dates to some of the earliest settlement of this area. Probably originally a tenant farmer's house. If development proceeds it is recommended that sub-surface examination and recording of structures be undertaken at site.
