COOK MILL SITE AND TRAMWAY, CATHEDRAL RANGE - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The mill was operating in 1940 with a 3' gauge, well constructed tramway extending over 2 kilometres along Storm Creek. The mill was steam powered. Prior to October 1955 the mill was owned by William Cook. It changed hands in 1955, but the closure date is not known.Heritage Inventory Description

The following features were noted: a. Boiler and wheel set remains and extensive timber and concrete foundations at the mill site. (E 390400, N 5861400) b. Several side cuttings and a well constructed tramway formation. (E 391100, N 5860500)c. The remains of two log bogies and an extensive 'make-up' bridge over a swampy area.(E 391400 N 5860100) d.
