DUNROBIN - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The pre-emptive rights of the first squatters in the area are located well away from the site. The homestead therefore must date to the selection period which began in 1869 according to Huffer (1979). The name "Cumming" given to the road approaching from the north is not one of hose of the initial selectors (CPO Parish Map) however the homestead could predate the road.
DUNROBIN - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: a homestead established in the Selection Period.
Heritage Inventory Description
DUNROBIN - Heritage Inventory Description
The former location of a homestead, woolshed still standing and in use. Heritage Inventory Significance: The site has only low potential to contribute to an understanding of the selection period on a local level. It is therefore considered to be of low scientific significance.Heritage Inventory Site Features: Standing wool shed, hand made bricks which are re used as shearing pen floor, exotic vegetation, old road. The site includes the existing woolshed, the part of the adjacent paddocks and a small section of Cummings Road which is visible as an earthwork approaching from the north. Exotic trees and crushed brick in one of the shed pens indicate that this was once a homestead.
