Statement of Significance
The Teddington Reservoirs, 501 Teddington Road, Stuart Mill were built to provide a water supply to St. Arnaud in 1898 and 1927 respectively. The reservoirs and surrounding area contain many artefacts which demonstrate key aspects of a domestic water supply system as well as retaining some original and unusual features.
The Teddington Reservoirs, 501 Teddington Road, Stuart Mill are historically and scientifically significant at a LOCAL level. They are associated with the supply of domestic water to St. Arnaud from 1898 and demonstrates some original and unusual features including remnant steel coated wooden pipes.
Overall, the Teddington Reservoirs, 501 Teddington Road, Stuart Mill are significant at a LOCAL level.

Teddington Reservoirs and Associated Features, 501 Teddington Road, STUART MILL - Physical Description 1
The two Teddington reservoirs are situated south south west of Stuart Mill at the base of the ranges of hills in that area. The irregular shaped basins have dam wall to the north of each basin. There are surviving sections of the early steel-coated wooden pipes. There survives much of the work undertaken in the catchment in the 1940s to increase the flow to the reservoirs including weirs, rockbars, drainage lines, levees, rock-lined aqueducts and catch drains.
