NARADA ESTATE SHEARER'S HUT AND SHEEPWASH - Interpretation of Site
Stone features built from locally collected paddock rock-rough construction. Associated with 19th century and early 20th century and rural use of paddock and more generally with Narada Estate.
The extent of the shearer's hut is difficult to determine on the grounddue to long grass and modern rubbish dumped over stone in the area. The sheep dip measures 20 m long and 10 m wide. For both; the collapsed stone merges into the adjoining paddock and downslope towards the channel of the creek.

The hut consists of a pile of paddock stone and rock associated with a low density artefact scatter including domestic ware. Eastern side of the site preserves a low partial wall. The sheep dip has been constructed within an unnamed creek which has stoned-lined banks and low dam walls at its northern and southern ends. The hut and sheep dip are dry stone constructions.
