Statement of Significance
The Cathedral Range possesses a strong character brought about by the unusual geomorphology. The razor back ridge is an exciting landscape and recreational feature.
Unusual plants (sticky boronia, lemon bottle brush and round-leaf mint bush) occur along the crest of the range amongst the rock. Superb views are obtained from the crest. Other features include the gorge of the Little River as it drops to the river flats downstream.
LOCATION:
The range lies between Taggerty and Buxton, to the east of the Maroondah Highway.
