Statement of Significance
Rocks and names of woodcutters carved in them, dating from 1867 and 1899 respectively, are located by a creek swimming hole, which was probably used for recreation. The carvings indicate the early settlement of land in the area for timber getting purposes. It is of importance for its potential to provide information that contributes to a greater understanding of the history of the settlement and establishment of the district.
