LORETTO CONVENT LADIES COLLEGE - Physical Description 1
This two storey school building was constructed possibly in 1875.
The central wing is the original building, the side wings were added at a later date. .
The building provides an interesting example of a mannerist/Renaissance Revival style. On the upper floor decorative iron balconettes balance quite heavy window hoods supported on consoles; to the ground floor the window and door surrounds are quite mannered, with cement render quoin stones and dropped keystones. ~ The building is relatively intact, apart from the altered door surrounds, and is in good condition. It provides an important streetscape element and is of significance in a local context.LORETTO CONVENT LADIES COLLEGE - Integrity
