Offices - Physical Description 1
This building is a reminder of the early history of Ballarat. It was constructed prior to 1859, and is clearly visible in an early lithograph of this date. The upper floor facade roof and chimneys are intact (apart from the removal of the window glazing bars). The ground floor openings have been completely altered and a splayed corner entrance introduced.
This building is of sympathetic scale and form, and is the earliest surviving building on the west side of Lydiard Street (south of Sturt Street)Offices - Integrity
