Williamstown Torpedo Ground - Veterans Description for Public
The Williamstown Torpedo Ground is referenced in contemporary historical sailing directions for 1884, 1897 and 1907 where warnings are issued tomariners to not to anchor in waters above the torpedo ground. This region was formed by the end of Breakwater Pier, the Timeball Tower, and the Gellibrand Pile Light.
