Sale Boer War Memorial Drinking Fountain - Veterans Description for Public
The Sale Drinking Fountain, located in the rose garden on the corner of Foster and York Streets, was erected in 1909 to commemorate the Boer War. The foundation stone was laid by Walter Lyon on 29th October. A later plaque was unveiled by Boer War Veteran C.E.T. Kelley on April 25th 1972, to mark the monument's relocation.
