Birchip War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Birchip War Memorial is located in Soldiers' Memorial Park, which was established on 22nd May 1931. The memorial comprises of a cenotaph with gold letter inscriptions of sixty-two soldiers who fell in the First World War. A plaque was added for the 50th Anniversary of the Second World War, Korea, Vietnam and the 90th year Anniversary since the Anzac landing at Gallipoli. The Soldier's Memorial Park, originally named Birchip Shire Soldiers Memorial Park, also features large Moreton Bay Fig Trees.
