Clunes WWI War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Clunes War Memorial, on Fraser and Service Streets, was established on April 25th 1925. The memorial consists ofa soldier sculpted of marble, mounted on a granite plinth; with the names of Clunes' First World War fallen inscribed on the plinth. Of the 300 men and women from Clunes and district who served in the First World War, forty- five were killed. The memorial is surrounded by a decorative cyclone metal fence with four timber posts.
