EARLY BUILDING (SITE) - History
ON THE 1855 PLAN, A RECTANGULAR BUILDING IS SHOWN SET BACK SOME DISTANCE FROM WHITEHALL STREET ON LOT 4, SECTION V, TOWNSHIP OF FOOTSCRAY. THIS SECTION WAS PURCHASED BY ROBERT MCERWIN. ON THE 1864 MAP A DIFFERENTLY SHAPED BUILDING IS LOCATED TO THE WHITEHALL ST FRONT OF THE BLOCK. THE 1877 PLAN SHOWS A SMALL BUILDING ON THE NORTH END OF THE BLOCK FRONTING WHITEHALL ST. THE 1895 MMBW PLAN SHOWS THIS BUILDING BUT THE 1910 PLAN SHOWS THE LOT AS VACANT. THERE IS A 1920S-STYLE WOODEN BUILDING ON THE SITE.Heritage Inventory Description
