STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Rosnashane is regionally architecturally significant as one of a number of large brick Edwardian residences designed for prominent Geelong industrialists by the local architectural firm, Laird and Barlow later Laird and Buchan. It has local historical significance for its associations with Captain George Moore Strong, a wellknown local auctioneer and military man.

"Rosnashane", Reception Centre - Physical Description 1
A large red brick Edwardian house, with a slate roof over projecting bays, to the left-hand side rear and front right-hand side, as hips. The arched central entrance has leadlight fan and sidelights. The slate roof has terracotta cresting and finials, with exposed rafters. The elaborate veranda is beneath the main roof pitch and projecting gables to entrance and projecting right-hand gable. It has turned timber veranda posts and a decorative valence of timber, with arched rails.
