Booroondara Cemetery Boer War Grave - Veterans Description for Public
Inside Booroondara Cemetery lies the Huddart family grave and a memorial to the youngest son Cymbeline Alonso Edric killed in the Boer War. Edric served with the Royal Navy aboard the HMS Doris, before he was killed in action at Enslin, Cape Colony on 25th November 1899. Edric was the first Australian to be killed in the Boer War, he was 18 years old.
