Melbourne University War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Melbourne University War Memorial, on the South Lawn between Wilson Hall and the Old Law Quadrangle, comprises of a cenotaph dedicated to the First World War and Second World War. On the four faces of the monument, latin inscriptions read "Bene Meritis Domi Militiaeque 1914-1918, 1939- 1945, De Imperio, De Academia, De Patria."
