Mornington Honour Roll - Veterans Description for Public
The Mornington Honour Roll, inside Memorial Park on Barkly Street, was erected on 18th October 1925. The stone and bronze Honour Roll lists the names of 120 fallen and returned locals who fought in the First World War. Originally located in Elliot Square, the memorial was moved to the park on 8th November 1998. The main inscription reads, "Sons of this place let this of you be said, that ye who live are worthy of your dead: they gave their lives that we who live might reap a richer harvest, ere we fall asleep."
