Prahran Nurses Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The former Prahran Nurses Memorial was located in the old Nurses Quarters of the Alfred Hopsital. The small monument included plaques for Sister Eileen Rutherford who lost her life aboard the hospital ship 'Centaur' on May 14th 1943, Matron Thomas killed in action in 1941 and Alfred Hospital trainees R.D. Freemand and F.A. Stevenson.
