Trawool 46 Battalion Memorial Plaque - Veterans Description for Public
The Trawool 46 Battalion Memorial Plaque is located on the Farrer Property on Tallarook Road. From 1940, the site housed the Trawool Army Camp where hundreds of young Australians trained. After training the men were re-drafted, most commonly to the 2/22, 2/48, 39, 29/46 Battalion and Anti-Aircraft Units. The plaque commemorates those personnel who were killed in action, wounded or taken prisoner of war during the course of their service in the Second World War.
