Wangaratta 2nd/24th Battalion Memorial Plaques - Veterans Description for Public
The Wangaratta 2nd/24th Battalion Memorial Plaques are located near the larger Battalion Memorial Wall inside the Cemetery. The first plaque commemorates the 2nd/24th Battalion 26th Brigade, 7th Division (later 9th Division), showing a timeline of events from their formation and training to the key battles they served in. The second plaque marks a Eucalyptus tree planted to commemorate those who died serving the Battalion during the Second World War.
