STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Pakington Village is the former Miller homes, designed in 1909-10 by the architect William Cleverdon for the Trustees of Alexander Miller. The homes have been extended and converted into a shopping complex. It is of local significance.

Careful removal of paint from the brickwork and rough cast would greatly enhance the character of the building.

Pakington Village Shop - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The single storey building has a series of hipped roofs with gables at each end of the front facade. In the center is an octagonal tower with a steeply pitched roof on either side of this is bull-nosed verandahs. Tall chimneys project from the rear f the building. Decorative elements include the red brickwork with contrasting window joinery, tympanums, stringcourses and corbels, although recently this effect has been obscured by all the elements being painted a dark brown. The cast iron verandah decoration is geometric in design and is more common on buildings unil prior to 1900.
