Statement of Significance
Outstanding example of species:
This is a fine specimen of Monterey Pine (Pinus radiata) located at the residence built in 1889 by Judge Arthur Chomley who presided over the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria
Although widely cultivated in plantations Pinus radiata is native to three very limited areas in the US: Santa Cruz, Monterey Peninsula, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
The tree is behind the house in a paddock.
