STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
189-191 Moorabool Street has architectural significance at a local level. It is a representative and essentially intact example of commercial Federation architecture. The facade has a high degree of integrity and retains characteristic siting and for, as well as a number of intricate moulded details. Recent additions have been executed in an appropriate manner.

Shop & Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
189-191 Moorabool Street is a very intact double storey brick building in excellent condition. The building is a residence on the first floor and a shop on the ground and lower basement level. The symmetrical facade has a strong cornice with a parapet stepped up in the middle and has rendered quoining to the first floor on both sides. The ground floor features simple pilaster and arched openings with lead light glazing, while on the first floor there are double hung sash windows surrounded by intricate arched mouldings. The colour scheme enhances the architectural features of the windows. The concave verandah has simple timber posts and is an appropriate addition to the style og building.
