GEELONG HOTEL SITE - History
The rate books note that in 1854, the two storey hotel (est by G Southey) consisted of a bar, five rooms, cellar, kitchen, concert room, and long room. Two years later a gas house and a seven stall stable were added. By 1861, the hotel had twenty rooms as well as a servant's room.
