EUREKA HOTEL SITE - History
The 1850 hotel, also known as the Eureka Inn, was licensed to J.H. Down in 1854. Ratebooks note that in 1856 the brick hotel consisted of a bar, nineteen rooms, stables and a shed. J.H.Down also owned several properties on the same block, including the cooperage at 100 Little Malop Street.Heritage Inventory Description
EUREKA HOTEL SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
The site still trades as the Eureka Hotel. The facade has been altered, likely to be in 1912 as noted on the current building.
