Statement of Significance
Of local significance as a community landmark in the township, but in poor condition due to the effects of road widening, car parking and a Telecom trench which severed major roots.
Propatagation of replacements from cuttings will be the only long-term means of continuing its genetic life.

A large multi-stemmed Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa) with extensive die back.
Part of the tree on the east side was damaged in a storm in late 2004 and subsequently removed by the Council.
