Statement of Significance
The house known as "Olinda" at 6 Addison Street, Moonee Ponds was built in 1803. It has aesthetic significance (Criterion E) as a richly decorated small villa in the Victorian manner with some Edwardian period details Indicative of its period of construction.

HOUSE (OLINDA) - Physical Description 1
A symmetrical Edwardian timber villa with central door flanked by half timbered rough cast gablets above projecting rectangular window bays. The reconstructed verandah has turned timber posts with cast-iron lacework, also in the tympanum of the central verandah pediment. The facade has ashlar weatherboards and there is a corrugated iron clad hipped roof. Condition: Sound. Integrity. High.
