Statement of Significance
The house at no. 12 Athol Street, Moonee Ponds was built in 1900. It is aesthetically important (Criterion E) for its unusual (Criterion B) facade treatment consisting of symmetrical coupled round arched windows given emphasis by gablets in the verandah. It has historic value (Criterion A) in that it helps demonstrate the impact of the Essendon railway line on the settlement of the area.
