Statement of Significance
The house known as "Goodwood" and possibly the stables at 42 Myross Avenue, Ascot Vale, were built prior to 1895. They are important for their capacity to demonstrate the area's links with the racing industry and the Flemington and Moonee Valley racecourses (Criterion A).

GOODWOOD - Physical Description 1
A single fronted timber Victorian villa with timber posted verandah, hipped corrugated iron clad roof, symmetrical stuccoed chimneys and shingled weatherboards. The timber framed rear stables have nine loose boxes and consist of the main building with loft above and a secondary smaller stables with brick pavements. There are brick cross walls and a corrugated iron clad gabled roof.
