Statement of Significance
Architecturally, an original successfully developed and sited example of a common suburban prototype which is particularly well represented in Essendon (see also Hunt Crescent); of regional importance.
Historically, little is known of the Mould family except their apparent origination from another Western suburb.

HOUSE - Physical Description 1
Set on a Y plan, this ashlar-pattern boarded house has two gabled bays, facing the street. A third gable surmounts the bullnose roofed verandah, which spans between the two room bays and a minor bay which forms the entrance. Characteristically intricate ornament consists of cast-iron friezes and turned timber post to the verandah, friezes to window hoods, and saltire -cross balustrading, half-timbering and gable finials complete the Queen Anne styling. The hillside site is well suited by the bayed nature of the design. An unusually complete club-head picket fence and gate was at the frontage (part disassembled at inspection) whilst the main garden elements appeared to be original.
HOUSE - Integrity
Generally original except for colour scheme and dismantled fence.
HOUSE - Physical Description 2
Streetscape
