Statement of Significance
The row of terrace houses was constructed from 1892 onwards. It is aesthetically important (Criterion E) for its consistency in typical detail in the facade, roof forms and chimneys (Criterion B). The row of terrace houses has historic value (Criterion A) as it helps to demonstrate the early impact of the Essendon railway line on the settlement of the area.

Terrace 208 -222 Ascot Vale Road - Physical Description 1
Row of single storey Mid Victorian terraces. Shallow corrugated iron hip roofs with ornately rendered chimneys. Original brickwork extant in five terraces consisting of brown face brick with four brick bands and lozenge motives on party walls. Bluestone footings and plinths to verandah floors. Highly ornate party walls with vermiculated panel and rendered scroll below and rusticated dimension stone to base. Original verandahs are concave with single band of lacework. Cast iron fences and gates on bluestone base to verandahs intact.
