Statement of Significance
This two-manual organ was built in 1888 by Alfred Fuller, of Kew, for the Congregational Church, Ballarat and was installed at Fawkner, following restoration, in 1985. Although several changes to the action, winding and pipework have been made in past years, the instrument remains an excellent example of its builder's work and particularly notable for its ornate casework, console and diapered facade pipes, whose decoration was reinstated during restoration, and its romantic-symphonic conception of tonal design and voicing.
