Statement of Significance
Church Statement of Significance: Designed by Vahland & Getzschmann and built in 1866-7 in a striking combination of variegated sandstone with dressings of red brick, this church, in a rudimentary Decorated Gothic style, comprises a nave, polygonal chancel of compressed proportions and somewhat Germanic character, and northern entrance tower, never completed. It contains a pipe organ built in 1879 by George Fincham.

Organ Statement of Significance: A two-manual organ of 9 speaking stops built by George Fincham and remaining largely intact. The instrument retains its original console, action, pipework and case containing diapered pipes. It is the only pipe organ in the town and one of a number of Fincham organs in the Victorian goldfields region.
