Statement of Significance
The designer is not known but this attractive little Chapel which was built in the later 1870s, probably by George Pallet (a building contractor), was constructed of rock faced granite from Harcourt in the Gothic revival style.
The simple well proportioned symmetrical building has an air of pleasant rustic charm with corner buttresses and a slate roof with a central timber open belltower.
Internally the roof trusses are noteworthy, there is no furniture except for timber coffin supports and there is no provision of any sort of artificial lighting.
