Statement of Significance
Built about 1855 for James Coulstock this simple two-storey corner shop was occupied by John Cramond & James Dickson, a prominent firm of drapers. Established in 1852 the business remained in the Dickson family until 1975. Extensions including a warehouse were built onto the Timor Street frontage and were designed by Andrew Kerr and built in 1882. There was an attractive cast iron pavement verhandah with posts to both Liebig and Timor Streets but this was unfortunately demolished in the 1970s. There have been alterations internally and externally at ground floor level including an unsympathetic cantilevered canopy.
