Outstanding size
This Camphor laurel (Cinnamomum camphora) is significant for social and scientific reasons at Regional level. This tree makes an outstanding contribution to the landscape and is outstanding for its size with a height of 16m and canopy spread of 21-22m. A very large and prominent specimen ofCamphor laurellocated in front of the original home, in Malvern Road, which is currently being used as the Lauriston Junior Girls School. The school has established a sandpit underneath the tree.
