Statement of Significance
Non-original alterations and additions are not significant.
It is significant as a representative example of the detached residences constructed for the Education Department in the early twentieth century. It is notable for the high degree of integrity when compared to similar examples in the Shire. (Criterion D)

TOORA SCHOOL RESIDENCE (FORMER) - Physical Description 1
The former Toora school residence is a timber Federation dwelling based on a single corrugated hip roof with a projecting gable set off centre. A contiguous verandah at a lower pitch covers the wider section of the facade. Other notable elements include:
- The battened gable end.
- The large brick chimney with moulded brick bands.
- The simple frets to the square verandah.
- Multi-pane double hung windows.
- The hood supported by timber brackets to the paired windows in the projecting gable.Heritage Study and Grading
