BUBB'S GRANITE HOUSE - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The house was owned by Isaac Bubb and his wife Mary and dates from the 1850s. Bubb arrived as a gold miner and then settled as a pastoralist. The house was occupied until circa 1970.
BUBB'S GRANITE HOUSE - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: One of the numerous granite houses in the Harcourt Valley region, related to the mining and pastoralism era. The property was the focus of Bubb's extensive pastoral interests in the area.

BUBB'S GRANITE HOUSE - Heritage Inventory Description
The site comprises a granite, four roomed dwelling with a hand made brick extension at the eastern end. There was also a small lean-to kitchen. The walls are largely intact, but the roof, which was made of shale shingles, has completely gone.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Low to moderate archaeological significance. Moderate to high local historical interest.
Heritage Inventory Site Features: - granite house remains. A four roomed dwelling with two fireplace/chimney structures. There is a brick extension adjacent to the eastern side of the house and a stone extension at the northern end which probably functioned as a kitchen. - exotic plantings, including a date palm.
