JAMES HOWARTH HOMESTEAD - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: This was the first house of the Howarth family, one of Faraday's earliest families. Originally two stories, it was built between 1860 and 1870. The family left the house circa 1900 and the house was bulldozed, because it was considered dangerous, about twenty years ago.Heritage Inventory Description
JAMES HOWARTH HOMESTEAD - Heritage Inventory Description
Granite foundations, scattered granite building stone and historical artefacts. There is a brick lined well about 150 metres north east of the site. There is a quantity of granite building stone in the nearby creek to the west.
