Statement of Significance
The house at 67 Main Street, Great Western, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with residential developments in Great Western in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and it demonstrates some important Late Victorian and interwar Bungalow design qualities. These qualities include the rear Victorian gable roof form that traverses the site, together with the Bungalow gable roofs that project towards the street frontage. Other important qualities include the brick chimneys, modest eaves, timber framed double hung windows, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, and the horizontal weatherboard wall cladding.
