Navarre Hall and Memorial Gates, 52 High Street, NAVARRE - Physical Description 1
The hall at 52 High Street, Navarre, is set on a contextually large allotment. It is surrounded by open grassed areas at the front and sides, with a round tubular steel and cyclone wire fence forming the front yard. There is also a gateway with granite pillars at the front.
The altered hall building is characterised by early gable roof forms clad in red painted galvanised corrugated iron. Modest overhangs are features of the eaves, while three round galvanised iron ventilation stacks adorn the roofline.
Other remnant early features include those within the gable end at the front: the timber brackets, ventilator, battening and panelling.
The hall building has experienced considerable change, with the timber weatherboards and possibly the windows and doors being altered. The side wall cladding appears to be introduced Hardiplank weatherboards. The shallow pitched wing at the front has been introduced.
